    Note: Banner must be Rich Media type to be served  as Mobile/MRAID.

  • Required Files Structure
    • Metadata file called manifest.json
    • HTML/JS Assets
    • Additional assets: images, video etc. (if applicable)

    Note: Examples of our banner templates can be found here.

    Tip: Import Adobe Edge banner to the HTML5 Studio and it will export a banner meeting our required file structure.

  • Manifest.json

    Tip: Create banners easier by using Adform‘s HTML5 Studio. It automatically generates the manifest.json and other Adform-related files, as well as enables you testing and previewing HTML5 banners effortless.

    Each HTML/JS asset, prepared for the Adform System, should be archived as a ZIP file and, in addition to your files, should contain a metadata file called manifest.json:

        "version": "1.0", // manifest version
        "title": "300x250 Example Banner", // name of an asset
        "description": "optional string", // optional description
        "width" : "300", // asset width
        "height": "250", // asset height
        "events": {
            "enabled": 1, // events capable
            "list": { // events list {id}: {eventName}
                "1": "myEventName1",
                "2": "myEventName2",
                "3": "myEventName3"
        "clicktags": {
            "clickTAG": "",
            "clickTAG2": ""
        "source": "yourbanner.html"

    Note: Please, make sure the comments from the final manifest.json file are removed in order for it to work properly.

    In-App (or mobile web) banner must:

    • Include <script src="mraid.js"></script>
    • Do not use Adform DHTML library.
    • Use clickTAG variables for HTML5 clicks/links rather then pre-defined URLs
    • Implement events (if applicable) correctly
    • Keep banner weight as low as possible (highly recommended as most of the users are using cellular networks)
