Christian Hansen
Hi, Is is possible to pass a input field value to the clicktag? I want to have a input field where the user can type in their zipcode and after they finish typing it should pass that value to the clicktag as a parameter: http://myurl.com?zipcode=xxxx I could only find some examples in Flash actionscript. I need to do this in a HTML banner. Hope this makes sense. Regards, Christian Nørgaard Hansen Subsero A/S

Is there a way to compress java script libraries?
Roman
Hi, we mainly work with Flash to create html5 Ads. The files created from flash usually load some JS libraries from code.createjs.com (like tween.js, movieclip.js etc.). We recently got the information that it is actually forbidden (or more like recommended?) to load external scripts. Now I have the problem that those scripts together weigh approximately 165kb (after uploading a banner including only those scripts and optimize-downloading it again). The ZIP file containing the banner howeve…

MRAID vs. "Normal banners"
Simon Kanst
Hi Adform, We need to change a "Normal" Adform HTML5 banner to a MRAID banner, for this to work in a mobile APP (as i understand it). Can you please advice on what steps that need to be taken? Seems We need the DHTML Adform-link to be changed to a MRAID.js file? But where does the MRAID.js file come from? Anything else? Can you maybe list the steps in this process? I have a feeling that it is not very complicated, but we are having problems retrieving the exact steps from the online documentatio…

Video Banners
Simon Kanst
Hi, We have been giving a task to creative video banners that are Adform compliant. We dont have any interest in using the Adform builder tools! Can you please direct us to some documentation regarding: - Adform hosting of video files? (where to upload and how to reference?) - Accepted video formats? (if you have any restrictions? MP4, ogv, WEBM etc.?) - Video filesize restrictions? - Explanation on how videos are loaded (event triggers etc.) - Other restrictions we need to know about? Thank you…

Using AdformLite-Tweens instead of TweenLIte
Peter M.
Hi! I´d like to use TweenLite style animations in a HTML5 banner. I found a similar syntax in one of Adform´s templates. However, I am not able to use it. Example: AdformLite.to(text, 0.4, {left: '0px', top:'0px'}); Do we need to load a specific javascript in addition to "https://s1.adform.net/banners/scripts/rmb/Adform.DHTML.js"? Thanks in advance, Peter

Preload and states
Jonas Sandstedt
Hi, do I understand it correct if I could use dhtml.getState() and dhtml.sharedEvents to se if a the banner itself is visible on the page? Source: /support/documentation/build-html5-banners/html5-banner-specifications/preload-and-states/ Example: var state = dhtml.getState(); dhtml.sharedEvents.on('changed:state', function (s) { state = s; if (state == "visible") { // Start the animations in the banner when the user scrolls to the banner } });

Inline SVG Masks not working when Banner is shown in HTML5 Studio Preview
Jacob Mellin
Hi, I have created some banners that use inline SVG with masks. The SVG is dynamically injected using JavaScript. The banners work fine in all browsers I tested locally, but when I upload them in HTML5 Studio, the mask stops working, meaning it is not visible in the preview window. When I export the banners in HTML5 Studio and open the modified files on my local machine, the masks are back and working again. The preview window uses an iframe to embed the banner. When I open the target URL of the…

Firefox not showing special characters
Tiziano
Hi, When I upload a HTML banner to the platform, special characters don't display properly in Firefox (for example é, à û,...) When I view the banner directly in the browser, without the platform, everything shows up fine. I opened up the console and see there is an error saying the charset is not declared, but the HTML file definitely has it defined as UTF-8. The work around is to encode the text, but as you'll understand it's easy to forget it :-) Is there a way to solve this problem?

How to check if banner is visible
John
Hello, I've made some HTML5 banners with an animation in it. Is it possible to start this animation when the banner is in view? I have tried it with the getState function, but that also gives 'visible' back when the banner isn't visible in my viewport. This is my code;
var state = dhtml.getState(); if (state === 'visible') { _function(); } else { dhtml.sharedEvents.on('changed:state', function (s) { if (s === 'visible') { _function(); } }); }
Thnx for the help.

HTML5 banner upload
Jeff Eghave
Hi Adform, I am trying to upload HTML5 banners to AdForm, as assets. I have no problems using the banners when on a PC, but as soon as I try it with a Mac, it fails! I have tried cleaning the zip file for Mac related files, such as _notes and DS-Store, etc. It simply wont work. Do you have a bulletproof solution for this problem?
